About Reiki with Aimee
Hi There! I want to share how I became acquainted with Reiki how it has dramatically changed my life. In 2012 I developed a serious auto-immune disease that had debilitating effects on my everyday life. I realized, through the illness that I was suppressing, and not processing my emotions, but also doing the same with the emotions of others. Have you ever been out in public and came home feeling emotionally and mentally drained but not known why? It could be because you are also an empath. Being an empath also meant that I had a hard time saying no, often saying yes at the expense of my own well-being because I always felt sub-conciously that others mattered more and I didn’t want to deal with the disappointment, or disapproval of others that I internalized as my own.
During my illness I started using Yoga as tool to come into my body. I became a yoga instructor and began doing an ancient healing energy technique known as Shambhavi Healing. The more I delved into these ancient healing practises the more I yearned to reconnect with my soul. I began unpacking layers and beliefs that were not in unison with who I really was at my core.
In 2014 I found Reiki and that’s when things really began to shift in my life. As I progressed through the trainings I found Reiki to be so powerful yet gentle, as it knew exactly what I needed. The more I practiced Reiki and trusted its guidance, the more things, situations, and people in my life started to fade away and were replaced with things, situations, and people that felt easier, lighter, and joyful! I began practising Reiki on friends, family and pets and that’s when I felt compelled to become a Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Master. I then opened a business offering Reiki sessions and workshops to clients, feeling deep fulfillment working with others in this intimate space of healing.
After just having purchased our dream home in 2020 in Islandview NB, Reiki showed me that we needed to sell our home and move again! So in 2023 we moved to a small off-grid community in Knowlesville NB, near FLorenceville-Bristol, and Hartland NB. I thought initially that the move was mostly for my daughter who attends the Knowlesville Art and Nature Center School near our home but shortly after arriving I was guided to take my ICRT Animal Reiki Master course and to join the holistic team of practitioners at My Goodness Integrative Wellness Clinic in Florenceville-Bristol where I now offer Reiki workshops and sessions.
As a highly sensitive and empathic person, I understand the challenges of navigating emotions and energies, both mine and others'. With Reiki, I've learned to distinguish between what belongs to me and what doesn't through clearing and protection techniques. Through embracing self-care and self-love via soothing Reiki meditations and self sessions, I've found a way to be present for myself and others in a more balanced and uplifting way. This journey has been incredibly transformative and fulfilling for me. I would be honored to share the precious gift of Reiki with you.
Reiki blessings,
Aimee
